What to expect at New Beginnings Maternity Home:

New Beginnings Home is available to help young mothers who have chosen life for their babies. Are you facing an unplanned pregnancy? Are you looking for a place to live and be mentored? New Beginnings is a safe haven where unconditional love and friendship are the norm and women can plan what is best for themselves and their babies while having their physical and emotional needs cared for. A woman finding herself pregnant without a strong support base can be frightened, not knowing where to turn. There are unique challenges to be addressed and there are no easy answers. New Beginnings helps young women navigate these challenges and make the best plan for themselves and their baby.

At New Beginnings we try to focus on every woman’s emotional, physical and spiritual needs. We focus on the emotional needs by meeting 1 on 1 weekly to discuss goals, options and feelings. We focus on physical needs by providing healthy food, a healthy and stress free environment, and giving the opportunity to work out weekly. We also provide transportation to and from all pregnancy related appointments. Finally, we focus on the spiritual needs by participating in a weekly church service and bible study. The house parents at New Beginnings get to know each young mother and help her according to her individual need. House parents and staff also fill the role of helping the home feel like a supportive family. Every family has ups and downs, but we’re also there for each other and know how to have fun together.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our housing program, please fill out an application and we will get back to you.

Single MOTHERS program

House Manager: Amelia Lee

Opened in: 2012

4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, beautiful kitchen, living room and patio

The goal of our single mom's housing program is to provide additional support for new moms moving out of the New Beginnings maternity home. A mom coming home from the hospital with a new baby can feel nervous, overwhelmed and exhausted. The amount of support she needs in the first few weeks is huge; from breastfeeding to health and safety concerns, to getting rest at night and combating loneliness.

While living in this home mothers establish long term goals (career, permanent housing, college degree...). Then, in weekly one-on-ones, will determine necessary steps to reach her goals for the future. Resources are also available to her to achieve healthy living such as; parenting classes, healthy eating/cooking for families, and spiritual guidance and support.

As the program manager, it is Amelia's desire to encourage, support and affirm these new moms on their journey through motherhood.
