To support graduates of NBHomes programs as well as current residents by providing safe, loving, nurturing, convenient, and affordable care for their young children on our campus. JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation and management of the daycare center including care of the children (newborn - 2 years), administrative tasks and budget

  • Assist with managing staffing needs

  • Build programs, group activities, structure procedures

  • Create a business model that is adherent to all WA state guidelines

  • Communicate clearly and regularly with Ministry Directors and other staff members in order to provide comprehensive care to the women

  • Build positive relationships with all the residents living at NBH

  • Assist with info booths and fundraising events as needed

  • Attend weekly Prayer & Updates Staff Meetings


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

  • Exhibits Christian fruit and integrity in attitudes and actions

  • Self starter

  • Completion of Discipleship Training School with Youth With a Mission (YWAM)

  • Assessment/diagnostic ability

  • Administrative/organizational skills

  • Positive personal interactions

  • Writing/communication skills

  • Program development skills


Expected Attitudes:

  • Support and encourage New Beginnings Homes directors and be willing to yield to their oversight of the daycare center

  • Ability to show Christian compassion and encouragement

  • Positive attitude

  • Teamwork

  • Commitment to New Beginnings Homes mission statement

  • Faithful attendance in a local church

  • Have a neutral stance on adoption vs. single parenting.

  • Committed to the institution of adoption, the sanctity of human life, and sexual abstinence outside of marriage

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with single mothers

  • Experience involving supervision of infants and toddlers

  • Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Psychology/Development

Length of Commitment/ Hours:

  • At least two year to start out. With hopeful extensions in yearly increments  

  • Weekdays, potential hours could range from 6am-6pm depending on the needs of current residents

​​Salary & Benefits: 

  • This is a volunteer position that comes with housing inside of the daycare home. All meals during the work week are provided as well as a vehicle to be used for ministry purposes. This is a full-time position with 5 days on and 2 days off. Living expenses are free for all staff. All missionaries who have been through a DTS with Youth With A Mission (and commit at least 2 years to the ministry) have the opportunity to raise their support through the ministry.

 

Evaluation:

  • Regular feedback will be provided. The Daycare Lead will be evaluated by the Ministry Directors at 2 weeks, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days and quarterly thereafter.
